Why this site exists

Planning a trip in India means opening about twenty tabs. One for a blog post that turns out to be a list of stock photos, one for a booking site, one for a forum thread from 2016, one for a weather service, one for a map, and one for whichever aggregator ranked highest that week. By the end you have a rough idea of where to go and no clear idea of what it will cost or how many days you actually need.

SmartTripPlan was built to collapse that into two things. The trip planner assembles a day-by-day itinerary, accommodation and food options, weather and a cost estimate for any destination in one pass. The destination guides offer suggested routes, budget comparisons and practical planning advice.

Who runs it

SmartTripPlan is published and maintained by Kishlay Kumar Kashyap, based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. For questions or corrections, use our contact page.

How to use the guides

Our 12 destination guides collect suggested itineraries, neighbourhood comparisons and estimated budgets. Use them to shortlist options, then verify opening hours, entry fees, transport schedules and permit requirements with official sources before you book.

We do not claim that every destination has been personally visited or every detail independently verified. Source links, where provided, support the specific claims described alongside them. An update date records a content change, not a complete factual review.

Where the data comes from

The trip planner uses available place and location data: powered by Geoapify, Search by LocationIQ.com, map data © OpenStreetMap contributors. Weather comes from OpenWeather or WeatherAPI.com when configured; reference exchange rates come from Frankfurter. Planning rules organise the available places into days and estimate costs. An optional AI service can rewrite day titles; it does not choose venues or verify prices, opening hours or safety. Data can be missing or out of date, so check details before booking. Our disclaimer explains these limitations.

The guides are published separately from on-demand planner output. Source notes identify the particular facts checked against tourism authorities and attraction operators. Estimates and suggested routes remain planning advice, and do not represent live prices or a firsthand report from every destination.

How the site is funded

We may show advertising on eligible guide pages through Google AdSense once approved. Some outbound links to hotel and flight booking sites are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you book through them — at no extra cost to you.

What that does not buy: we do not accept payment for a favourable mention, we do not rank recommendations by commission rate, and we do not soften a guide because a destination has better affiliate terms. The planner is free and does not require an account. There is no paid tier.

Corrections

Travel information decays. Prices rise, monuments change closure days, permit rules shift, roads wash out.
